Burkert Type 8691 Control head for decentralised automation of ELEMENT On/Off process valves

The Burkert Type 8691 Feedback Control Head is designed for the decentralised automation of Burkert ELEMENT Type 21xx On/Off pneumatic process valves.

The 8691 is available with an integrated pilot solenoid valve which controls either single or double-acting actuators. This unit has an M12 electrical connection, though a cable gland connection is available on the standard unit without fieldbus communication.

The status of the device (open or closed) is shown directly on the control head itself through powerful coloured LEDs, which illuminates even in difficult ambient conditions.

The valve position is registered through a contact-free analogue sensor element, which automatically recognises and saves the valve end position through the Teach function during start-up.

The design of the control head and the actuator enables an internal control air routing without the need for external tubings. 

The housing is easy to clean, featuring IP65/67 protection and chemically resistant materials for use in hygienic processing of food, beverage and in pharmaceutical industries. 

Options for communication interface include: AS-Interface and IO-Link.

This control head is designed to be combined with Bürkert ELEMENT actuators.
