Electric Actuated PVDF Butterfly Valve – Extreme Range
The Extreme range of Electric Actuated Butterfly Valves are ideal for automatic on/off operation of flow in a fluid handling system. This PVDF valve is used for a range of Aggressive chemicals, Water Treatment with potable water, food and beverage and Industrial applications that require high performance and long-term reliability.
The valve body is manufactured in durable PP-H – GR and offered in sizes ranging from 2"-12" (DN65-DN300 & D63-D75 to D315). Available in PVDF with options of CPVC, PP-H, PVDF and ABS Discs. Options of EPDM or FPM for Liners, giving you perfect choice to suit the needs of your process. The actuator is supplied, fitted and tested to your valve selection, offering a powerful yet compact unit. High quality components Limit switches manual override and optical indicator are supplied as standard all in various voltages.
The actuator varies between two models type 3003 and 3005 and optional additions can be added for Fail safe battery (in the event of power failure the actuator closes the valve), Modulation and actuators for EX environments.
Fluid and working temperature (please check resistance tables and temperature/pressure chart).
Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) is used for very aggressive or highly specialised applications offering unique thermoplastic properties. Although expensive PVDF offers, economy compared to many specialist materials.
PVDF has excellent chemical and physical properties, even at low temperatures, and has considerable resistance to abrasion. It is resistant to most of the inorganic acids and bases, and to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, organic acids, alcohols and halogenated solvents. It is also non-toxic and can be used for high purity applications.
