Since relocating to our new purpose-built industrial unit in Yelverton known as ‘The Innovation Centre’ Valves Online are now fully equipped with a specialised state of the art valve/actuator build and test department. Making us the number one supplier for pneumatic and electric actuated ball, butterfly, knife gate and control valves used in numerous industries around the world.

In order to complete our test department, we contacted one of our loyal customers and friends at Airflow Compressors to help us install our new compressor. Airflow have a vast wealth of knowledge in supplying compressed air systems into many industries throughout the United Kingdom.

We initially had a meeting to discuss our requirements and help Airflow understand our present and future needs. Once we were satisfied, installation could begin.

The beauty of this system is that we can change from standard air to pharmaceutical-grade air with the aid of removable filtration.

We wanted to be able to access compressed air at multi-points around the workstations and in addition, we also wanted to accommodate a testing station for valves using compressed air and water baths. The compressor arrived and was put into position, wired up and tested.

The next stage was to layout the compressed air line with various drops.

The airlines are manufactured using epoxy-coated aluminium pipe. Once the PCL quick release couplings were attached we were ready to go and embark on the final stages of commissioning.

Our test area was then fitted with 5 lines running 2 legs off each line allowing for 10 operators at a time.

We can now build and test for standard actuation or adapt for instrument air, in addition to valve leak testing.
